Top 5 parks to land in Paris

Insofar as we favor the quality of life inParis Pousse , through nature and its environment, we have selected for you 5 parks in the capital . These caught our attention, among many others of course, so here is a quick overview of these chosen places to land. We wish you an excellent ride and a breath of fresh air!

    1) Parc des Buttes-Chaumont: Located in the 19th arrondissement , this is one of the most pleasant gardens in Paris ! Its visitors number in the millions each year, who come to admire it from the four corners of the globe... but it is just as popular with Parisians, in search of the sun for a green picnic . Knowing that this artificial park has an area of 25 hectares, with an impregnable point of view, a little history is essential. It was on a phenomenal quarry of gypsum, rock extracted since antiquity in the Parisian basement, that it was built during the major Haussmann works in 1864.
This explains the quality of its soil, where an abundance of wild, medicinal and edible plants are deployed, with the added bonus of majestic trees to wish for. A health course is offered to you, in small groups and over two hours, just to meet them to gorge yourself on a healthy atmosphere. Its Rosa Bonheur bar is very popular with young people from the capital, who come to enjoy electric concerts all year round. The Pavillon Puebla is for its part an indisputable nest for sores, where the Perchoir team sells dreams by night, as much as by day.
    Buttes Chaumont Park
    2) Parc de Belleville: It is in the 20th arrondissement of Paris that you will find the Jardin Belleville , halfway between the famous Père-Lachaise and the Buttes-Chaumont. Its area of 45 ha has nothing to envy to the largest, especially since it culminates at 108 meters on the heights of the Belleville hill . At its top a terrace, which offers a panoramic view of the entire capital. Designed by landscape designer Michel Viollet and architect François Debulois, it was inaugurated in 1988. In memory of the cultures and festivals that once took place there, we still discover a few vines.
Recently completed by the city of Paris, the park is embellished with 1,200 trees and shrubs, perennials, carpeting and climbing plants. The rosebushes bloom there at their ease and a cascading fountain descends the hill for 100 meters. Considering that 1,000 m² of lawns are available to the public, you will understand that in ancient times Mardi Gras gave rise to phenomenal drinking and excesses. Under cover of disguises, carpeted in dense and luxuriant greenery, everyone seemed to think they could afford anything! Under the Merovingians, this Royal Estate gave a light and sparkling piquette.
    belleville park
    3) Parc Monceau: A thousand treasures await you in the 8th arrondissement , drinking oxygen, contemplation and relaxation in Parc Monceau. But did you know that two parks have taken root in the same place? It was the painter and landscaper Carmontelle who was commissioned, in the 12th century by Louis-Philippe d'Orléans, to design a park to his (un)measurement. Known then as "the madness of Chartres", the duke of the same name installed a set of gardens at the gates of Paris (with ancient and feudal ruins, caves, Egyptian tomb, Dutch mill, Roman temple, Chinese pagoda, Turkish tents... .)
As for the second, it was installed under the Second Empire, in place of the old park which had fallen into disuse, on the initiative of the prefect Haussmann . Thus was born in 1860 the one we still know today! If its eccentricity has nothing in common with its predecessor, it still contains many treasures. This surprising English-style park allows you to visit, among other things, the Rotonde pavilion, false Egyptian monuments and real ruins, statues... with its small Italian-style bridge, its waterfall and its grotto, a real splendour!
    monceau park

    4) Parc de Sant-Cloud is a very beautiful place to walk, picnic on sunny days with family or friends. The park is vast, you can go through the woods or simply take the paths designed for visitors... The park is accessible by car , you have to pay 5€. There are restaurants and cafes in the area, superb fountains , ponds, bridle paths, green carpets...you can enter from Sèvres, Ville d'Avray, Saint-Cloud and Marnes-la-coquette.

Its areas and grounds make it a place conducive to sport and games of all categories, enough to let off steam without counting! What's more, this park offers you a remarkable panoramic view of Paris... and not far from this view, there is a corner of paradise . A landscaped "garden" space that feeds on damp spaces, where many plant species (flowers, weeping willow, ducks, swans) are usually rare in urban areas.

    saint cloud park

    5) The Parc des Sceaux: It is a plunge into the Japanese universe that is offered to you in this case, where the cherry trees bloom in beautiful harmony as in the land of the rising sun. For family outings nothing like it, what's more it's free. The Hanami in particular is not to be missed for anything in the world and, if the date has been set for April 15 in 2018, you still have many days ahead of you to enjoy it. A show that takes place like in Japan : From the moment the cherry trees are in bloom, it literally takes your breath away and leaves you speechless!

Sorry to insist but just to see these fleshy flowers, a shimmering pink to perfection, it's pure magic for the eyes. Stretched out like blessed people in the shelter of a sakura tree, you will undoubtedly fall under the spell of these beauties that bloom as far as the eye can see. On the practical side, we strongly advise against the car! You can take the RER, with a stroller the Croix de Berny stop has the advantage of having fewer stairs and being more accessible. Inside the Parc des Sceaux, you will find the place of the pink cherry trees at the "Bosquet nord"... the one on the south side, where white cherry trees bloomed, is under renovation this year.

To make the most of the walk, bring good walking shoes, water and something to protect you from the dampness of the ground. Also consider relieving your bladder because the park is large and the pee-rooms are too few, especially for children. Cameras are essential to capture the moment, as are sunglasses and a hat!

    cherry seal park
