Sommaire
There was a place in Paris to forget the rain. A place where summer was already here, with skewers in the sun and endless evenings. This place was in the 5th, and there it was not raining .
It is called Atelier 1664 , but it was called the new HQ . It must be said that it had everything to bring the sunny days: a garden lined with trees, nap chairs, barbecues every Saturday, workshops to bottle your own beer, outdoor yoga classes, parties stand-up, anti-blues Sundays, and even a large table of friends to book every evening ... All in a private mansion near the Seine.
And we, Paris Pousse, we were there.
During two Plant your Hops workshops, we didn't just talk about beer but also climbing plants, culture and beneficial properties.
Course of the workshop:
1) Identity card for hops: climbing plant, flowers from April to October... exposure, pruning, watering, etc. Repotting: how to properly clean the roots, put drainage balls, the soil evenly...
2) DIY decoration: Possibility of drying its small flowers to make pretty interior decoration.
3) DIY wellness
- Hops for internal use
Tonic, aperitif, stomachic, diuretic, hypnotic, vermifuge, depurative.
It unfolds its properties in infusion: 30g of cones in 1 l. of boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes, drink 3x a day.
To fight against insomnia and anxiety: drink at bedtime.
This infusion is also recommended in case of depression or other mood disorders.
- For external use
Eliminate pain. Helps fight against insomnia and anxiety.
Some recipe ideas from the past:
- Put cones in a cloth bag, let it heat on a radiator and apply to painful areas in case of neuralgia, sciatica or lumbago.
- To help children fall asleep, make small pillows filled with dried hop cones.
