    Care sheet: Moonflower
If its resemblance to the Arum and the anthurium is striking, the Fleur de Lune is distinguished above all by its color. The spathes it develops are creamy white and its dark green leaves have a very pronounced midrib.
Solange la Sage is offered to you alone or in a horticultural pot at Paris Pousse .
Native to South America, and other tropical areas such as Indonesia and the Philippines, this evergreen is one of the most racy bulbous plants. Flowering in abundance near bodies of water, it flaunts its elegance there.

☀️ Exposure: Its hardiness limits its endurance to a minimum of 10°C, however protect it from direct sunlight.

💧 Watering: Be sure to maintain a good dose of humidity, watering twice a week is thus recommended and spraying recommended. For its good condition, keep its soil moist and place the pot if possible on gravel.

Cultivation errors: The Spathiphyllum, Latin name of the Moon Flower, is not fragile but can weaken due to lack of water. Flowering problems are usually due to a lack of light or insufficient fertilization.

    🤒 DISEASES AND PESTS

The Flower of the Moon is not very prone to diseases, it is the negligence which poses problems to it, as well as a bad maintenance. Parasites and insects that attack them are possibly greenhouse mealybugs and aphids .
If its foliage turns yellow, it is due to excess water and, if brown spots cover it, a scorching sun is often the cause.
Consequences: Attacks by pests often go hand in hand with too abundant watering or an atmosphere that is too dry, watch the appearance of its leaves. If they sag and become limp, your plant is short of water.
Solution: In the event of an exceptional attack by insects, an appropriate treatment is indicated, especially if it is respectful of biodiversity. Otherwise avoid drafts, as harmful as the proximity of heating appliances in winter.

🌱 HOW TO REPOT A MOON FLOWER?

Planting in a pot: To guarantee the flowering of a Spathiphyllum , avoid pots that are too large , provide it with good light and a suitable fertiliser. Sufficiently nourished, the plant can be associated with others that have the same needs.
    1. A division every 3 or 4 years of the Flower of the Moon will make it more vigorous, its repotting is to be carried out in the spring in a mixture of earth of heather, sand and bark. However, place it out of direct sunlight!
    2. The substrate must be well drained, to ensure good circulation do not hesitate to place it on a soil of clay balls or small pebbles. Wet therefore but without excess and avoiding dryness.
    3. For germination it is better to wait until spring. When at the end of winter the spathes are withered, the roots divide more easily. Seedlings have a soft spot for temperatures around 21°C.
Good to know: La Fleur de Lune never ceases to seduce, with its slender leaves and flowers that discreetly disperse their aroma. You will learn without surprise that it is called Lily of Peace , as it is difficult for us to resist its charm. There are about thirty species of spathiphyllum , all of them are from the Araceae family but their inflorescences differ.
Note: In its classic form it does not exceed 60 cm, which is very practical in our interiors. It is particularly depolluting but be careful, ingesting each part of the plant can make you sick.
