Greening in Paris

Since June 30, 2015, you have the right to apply for a permit to green the capital, and we are all very happy about it! This program allows everyone to become an actor of green spaces in Paris. A responsible way of improving your living environment, while helping to create local social ties.

Field of application: The slightest idea tending to embellish your neighborhood with greenery is welcome! Any project is feasible, within reason. So if you aspire to become the master builder of a flourishing universe, this device concerns you. Provided you agree to take care of it , you can even have a site as you wish.

Authorized areas: You can green your street just as much as the roofs of Paris , even in an urban environment, everything will be viewed positively. The common well-being is well worth the trouble! It is so important to see a small garden, the junction of a street or a facade hatch that you yourself will be surprised at the result.

Spaces to remember: Ideas should not be lacking for our budding nurserymen! Like putting a planter on the corner of your street, just to grow pretty, fragrant flowers. But you can just as easily arrange the often unsightly non-parking or other posts, let climbing plants run on a facade wall, etc.

The regulations : This project the municipality is very keen to achieve! Pénélope Komitès, Deputy Mayor of Paris, in charge of Green Spaces, Nature and Biodiversity, is committed to this. As for the development or restructuring of an existing green space, since your word will be given to you, discuss it during a participatory budget .

Some examples of recent greening: Some projects have already taken shape, you have surely already contemplated many of them at the bend of a street or in a square. To find them it's easy, here are some addresses for information!

• Planters have been deposited, rue Boulle (11th ⁾ , avenue Maurice Ravel (12th ⁾ , in recycled pallets rue d'Alsace in Paris ^10th and on the sidewalk of Rue Ordener ( ^18th )
• Feet of vegetated trees were spotted boulevard Beaumarchais, in the ^3rd , and rue Faidherbe ( ^11th )
• Bollards have benefited from a greening of the most beautiful effect, on rue Saint-Blaise in the ^20th
• Walls were covered with plants, at 5 rue de Montmorency ( ^3rd ) and rue de Moussy in the ^4th
• The inhabitants of Rue Crémieux, in the 12th ^{arrondissement,} have decided to create a keyhole vegetable garden “ Jardin Partagé , Le Nid du 12 ” . As for the residents of the district, it is in the revegetation of the street that they participated.
