There is something for everyone, tall ones of 170cm and smaller ones of 100cm, without pots and with pots (fibre cube, basket, horticultural pot) but they are all equally depolluting and purifying. They absorb benzene (inks, fumes, paints, varnishes) and toluene (paints and solvents) in case you weren't aware yet. 😉
We find a nice place to install our Kentia Palm
Avoid putting it too close to a heat source (it likes a room between 16 and 24°C). It adapts to almost all exposures. It appreciates the light, the subdued sun and a light shade in summer.
Be careful, he is not a fan of drafts. ❌💨
If possible, install it so that you can see your Kentia Palm. You will see, it is rather exotic. 🌴🇧🇷

We water regularly. The soil should always be slightly moist. It also enjoys being sprayed and having company with the help of other tropical plants .
Kentia is less prone to disease than other genera of palms. But prevention is better than cure:
- If the plant is covered with traces and cottony white down, the mealybugs must be eliminated by cleaning the leaves and stems with a cotton ball soaked in denatured alcohol.
- If the spider mites have woven fine webs in the leaf axils, the plant should be bathed and the ambient humidity increased.
