Palais de Tokyo: GROW plants staged by a duo of artists

The Performing Arts Department of the Palais de Tokyo contacted us to create a scenography for La Manutention, a residency program dedicated to performing artists.

Indeed, Pousse.fr offers a tailor-made plant rental service for companies and individuals, adapted to any event. Installing plants immerses visitors in a healthy and positive atmosphere, which enhances performance.

The installation was imagined by the Australian artist Holy Childs and the Lithuanian Gediminas Zygus , invited for a period of one month, to carry out performance evenings once a week.

The brief : including video projection, light and performance work, the artists wanted to recreate a forest environment by installing a set of plants and shrubs (species native to Europe) to create islands.

    Selected plants:

    - 5 trees with a height of 350cm

    - 5 trees with a height of 250cm

    - 5 shrubs with a height of 170cm

    - 10 shrubs with a height of 80cm

    - 30 small plants: a mixture of grasses, ivy, ferns...

    - natural moss, dead leaves and branches
